Every pet has its day?

The Church has a day to get the Parishoners their dogs to Church, a tradition in commemoration and dedication to the life of St. Francis of Assisi. Now a religious cultural event which has caught up in Bombay city. Could it be dwindling number of the laity attending Church, to fill the pews with animals?

What are we praying for? Long life of the animal, when we should be praying for the way we humans are behaving like animals. Even animals would not bow down to levels we humans stoop down to! At the same time there are so many videos on social media where animals surrogate animals of other species in giving care? When we humans are developing new weapons of destruction to kill each other?

In UK after every mass the Parish Priest walks to the entrance of the Church with his vestments and greets parishioners as they leave. Many meet at the Church cafeteria where Parishoners can meet other Parishoners and interact over a cup of coffee and a snack. Then parishioners set up a flea market of items for sale. In Bombay after mass the laity disperse so fast, wondering where are they rushing to? After mass there are very few Parishoners who stay back and foster fellowship.

Thank Francis of Assisi that he could atleast get parishioners together with the help of help of animals. With AI Arificial Intelligence, humans have become so artificial, that they need another form of AI Animal Interaction, so they can interact. May AI Almighty Intervention save the community to foster togetherness. Else we may end up only getting pets to pray and love. As love amongst humanity is anyways dying.

The metaphor every dog has its day, now means every pet has its day to be prayed on?
