Dedications

With the war escalating in Holy Land, it gets one thinking. If this is what is happening in Holy Land, then why the surprise and hue and cry with atrocities in other lands in form of dictatorship, ethnic cleansing, terrorism, anarchy and violation of human rights. Worst imagined brutality are crimes in the garb of religion. Acts of rape and sodomising children, financial frauds and all the crimes one can think are done by Holy Nations, Holy Institutions and Holy men. Now if this is Holiness, wondering what is sin and what is crime? Where is humanity? Where is God or was there one? Everyone claims there is one God, but want their version of one God to be the universal one, ending with so many one Gods.

Wars have been fought in history and currently fought to prove the superiority of one God. If God is the alpha, omega, all powerful, all eternal, omnipresent, the creator and whatever adjectives one can add to glorify God, does HE, SHE OR IT need their creation to prove their oneness or power? Ensuring sexual neutrality of the one God as religions give it a sexual gender and even Gods who are animals, birds, reptiles, trees and the Sun. There are religions that believe in God in the form of fish, dove rat, human with animal head, fire, stone, etc. Holy Cow the list is endless, and yes there is even a cow too. To the extent in India it is illegal to eat cow meat, because a Cow is considered sacred in Hindu religion. It is however alleged to be healthy to drink its urine and claims it cures COVID. One Indian minister even claimed that cow dung can cure COVID and smeared himself with it, but ended getting COVID. How much more bullshit are we going to package in this God image. Maybe it's time to actually try bullshit, instead of cow dung?

Back to the war ravaging in The Holy Land. What a paradox! War in a Holy Land? If it is Holy Land then what is the fighting for? Apparently it is not to prove superiority or oneness of each warring sections God, but trying to prove that God actually made that land for the Jews. A faction that believes they are the chosen race. This is stretching God or reducing God to a geography and even branding God as racist. If Jews are a chosen race, what about other races or humans believing in another religious form of God? Are they not a chosen race? Will now human race be trying to prove a God race? A race ending with war and bloodshed. Christianity believes God sent his Son to earth who was crucified and gave his blood to save us. Now are we vying for each other’s blood to save God?

So much violence. So many lives brutally killed. Is God not satisfied with animal offerings of some religions, that God now wants human offerings? Is God not satisfied with the smoke of candles and incense and exotic aromas that God wants to see land and property blown into smoke?

Next time a Pope is decided by the Catholic Church, let it not be a color of smoke that spews out of a chimney to confirm the result of an election. It rather and better be the second coming. Otherwise it is too much fire in religions going or blown up in smoke.
