So the city has once again lived up to it’s reputation of being a sitting (sleeping) duck to anyone who can walk in (here it was sail in) bomb the city and threaten it citizens. Politicians have proved their best at what they are, and that is be pimps to prostitute the city for their personal gains.
We had our honorable (wonder did he ever have any honor) Deputy Chief Minister, R(oad side) R(ogue) Patil who brushes of this incident as a petty issue. Wished he was a victim of the petty issue, and that gets me wondering how come these jokers never get shot, and we have to be a victim of them shooting their mouths off.
The Shiv Sena few days ago before the incident wanted to promote ‘Shiv wada pav’. Even Chattrapathi Shivaji Maharaj’s soul would have turned in shame, knowing to what his name is being regaled too, a mere wada pav. The word Sena that means army, is insulted to being party of goons who vandalize and destroy public property, beat up innocents in the name of the ‘sons of the soil’. Wish they could be buried in the soil. How can they take care of the sons of the soil when in their own family they cannot stay united? You have Raj Thakrey who forms MNS cause he was not given any importance in Shiv Sena and you expect these animals to give Maharashtra or Maharastrians any importance. That reminds me even the party associates itself with Tiger, how more wild can you get? Wished they had for a change associated with the people. The prestigious Victoria terminus gets named after “Chattrapathi Shivaji Maharaj”, and they way innocents were killed the in the recent carnage of terrorism, only confirms that Political P(imps)arties would eye wash us with name changes, and can do nothing beyond that. Respect the name of Shivaji Maharaj and if you want to use his name, have the courage to be like him, a King to the true sense. Someone who lead from the front, and not like our cowards who use poor unemployed and illiterate youth to vandalize.
Then Congress counters the Shiv Sena’s wada pav with promoting 'kanda poha', to prove that wada pav is North Indian and Kanda Poha is the original Mahrashtrain food. Here when an average citizen is struggling to make ends meet and to put basic food on the table is least bothered about authenticity of food origins. We would be happy if we could be assured clean and healthy food, instead of adulterated food the country is subjected too. What are the safety measures practiced in food distribution and sales? Visit any of our markets and the hygiene and sanitation and the way food is stored would say it all. Some time back we had our food storage for Public Distribution System eaten away by rats. The next terror attack can be through our food chain of distribution, or even something as simple as poisoning our water lines which is tampered all throughout its route. Get these in order and not try to shove us with wada pava and Kanda Poha. The Congress is now planning to erect a statue of Shivaji Maharaj in the sea, so that will prevent terrorists in using the sea route according to them I guess.
Friends, Romans (oops I mean Maharashtrians) and countrymen lend me your eyes. Why cannot we do a simple gesture of getting our point across. We (read I) cannot do big things, the least is can we get the name Bombay back to get us working towards the glorious past the city once had, if not working at least remembering it…..or remain Mum, and be happy we are a part of Mum(bai)
