It happens only in India

Toyota, Daimler and Honda recall defected vehicles in the US to fix a defect in the steering wheel column that could result in a loss of control of the vehicle. I guess quality standards in the US are really poor, as ‘never’ has such a thing ever happened in India, as all vehicles in India have no defects and it runs.....'Chaltha Hai'

P. Chindabaram our finance minister will be editing one of our news publications ‘Economic Times’ for a day. ET’s marketing gimmick for promoting this event is (quote – unquote) “ET is a paper of the reader, for the reader, by the reader. Tomorrow’s paper will be scripted, directed and produced by the first reader of The Economic Times — our biggest admirer, also our biggest critic”. Sounds familiar to something like ‘of the people, for the people and by the people, but it happens (read does not happen) only in India.

AT least 50 people were injured when a string of bomb blasts in quick succession rocked two cinema halls of Delhi screening the controversial film Jo Bole So Nihal on which Sikh Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) demanded a ban alleging it hurt their religious sentiments. I don’t know what was controversial about the movie, but was such an act done by the Muslim community it would termed as terrorism, barbaric act, etc. How many Sikh Organizations condemned the assassination of our late Prime Minister Mrs. Indira Gandhi. I am aware of some commissions and judicial probes into the atrocities met out to the community after the assassination. How many Sikh Organizations came out vocally when three Sikhs terrorists were arrested for their alleged role in the bombing of an Air India (AI) flight on June 23, 1985. Now I am confused on the no. of Sardar are they ‘really’ jokes or it has to be a Serd.

Outsourcing of educational services is now a growing business with Indian teachers tutoring American school children at a far less cost than their US counterparts. At the same time in India. 30% of all the children who start school never complete primary school. And nearly 80% never complete their education……I guess in India we don’t need no education, as the systems leaves the kids alone.

India has expressed unhappiness and dissatisfaction at the absence of any films from the sub-continent in the competition category of the 2005 Cannes Film Festival. Broadcasting Minister S Jaipal Reddy, also raised the issue during his meetings with the organisers of the Cannes festival. Mr. Minister even Indians raise a similar issue i.e. the absence of sensible (forget quality) movies in India. All that has been churned out is display of flesh which I guess was aptly displayed by Mallika Sherawat, and proudly claimed by her that her (too much) presence in Cannes would do good for Bollywood.
