Ab tak Dakan…
Abby Baby was someone I grew up loving and aping his roles portrayed in movies. Like any awed fan in my days mouthing his dialogues was like hip. Imitating his style was the in thing. Thanx to the generation I grew up in we were always on the crest of innovation; like sometimes I wonder how to explain to my 9 year old what is a telex machine or a telegram. So from the 2 black and white channels with one of the programmes being ‘Amchi Mati Amchi Manse’, we Manse graduated to color televisions to cable tv to dish tv and now iPtv.Through all this metermophsis in technology, Abby Baby was rocking through all of it. Hits after hits used to have women getting the excitement fits. The dude broke thru ‘Zanjeer’, smashed the ‘Deewar’, terrified as ‘Don’ and in-between did crap as ‘Ajooba’, but proved he was the dark horse in ‘Kalia’, fired the screen in ‘Sholay’, and ‘Naseeb’ (destiny) favored him to him being titled as the ‘Shahenshah’ of the film industry.
This humpty dumpty one day had a great fall not just on the sets of ‘Coolie’ but just falling to any levels to be in the lime light. The guy would endorse anything from soft drinks to chocolates, and was like a struggling movie aspirant making his way through modeling. Did some crap of starting an Organisation to corporatise the film industry, and the thing just went ‘Boom’ coincidentally a name of his movie where till date no one knows what he was doing in it. Somewhere down the line dabbled with politics and made a mess of himself and then was alleged to be involved in the ‘Bofors scam’, and the guy did not know what was hitting from where, with the maximum hitting on his rear which was the target of political parties, and anyone pull the star down and tear him apart.
Baby’s ‘Silsila’ (events) went on through the good the bad the ugly, and the baby was an old baggy suddenly. Tried to do roles one third of his age and started making a bigger ass of him. Why was he doing this? Couldn’t he gracefully hang his boots than hanging himself professionally? I guess it was the desire to be the ‘Crorepati’ and fame can be a big delusion which fades like all things in life. The old man tried treading his ‘Agnipath’ and was burning himself to such a level that once in six months he had to be carted to a hospital. The guy would do anything for money and fame. To the extent to prove he has both, would make press statements that he pays the highest income tax. Trying so hard ki ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’ to the Industry and stuck on like a leech.
What proved he was a complete ass, was his recent blog on ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, where he claimed “Slumdog Millionaire projects India as a Third World, dirty under belly developing nation and causes pain and disgust among nationalists and patriots. It's just that the Slumdog Millionaire idea authored by an Indian and conceived and cinematically put together by a Westerner, gets creative Globe recognition." What have your movies portrayed Mr. Bachhan, that in India to be rich and to survive you need to resort to crime; that India has an underbelly of dacoits; police can be purchased; used an English coin to toss heads or tails as if India had no currency; in personal life got a status of an NRI to avoid taxes; and what are all the white women doing in your movies who you dance with? So you too need to resort to foreign skin just to save your skin. Just because in ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, you were not offered the role, which ideally should have been yours, went to Anil Kapoor.
Now that ‘Slumdog Millionaire” would be a nomination entry into Oscars, Mr. Bacchan wants to educate us that we should not be obsessed with the Oscars, as it is no entity to prove the superiority of movies made in India. Dude, Indian’s obsession towards you is fading, so please fade with grace, before your movies on TV will be labelled as ‘Ab tak Dakan’

Pimping India
We are good at it. We screw ourselves the best. Let’s accept that. The media plays perfect pimp for it and is happy scavenging a living out of it.
Simple example Sachin Tendulkar, God of Indian cricket is not a part of the Top 20 Test Batsman. The world media splashes it to prove white supremacy and we eat the shit of news doled out, as we have an appetite for it. Where is our media???
Some US aircraft has a bird and lands in a river, the pilot is praised as all the passengers are safe. The whole world is awed with the news. Two days later an Indian Pilot Captain Ajay Keri , of Jet Lite S2-361 saves a plane which had one of its engines on fire during flight. Had it not been Captain Ajay’s presence of mind, we would have had a major accident. As usual our media doesn’t have the mind to appreciate it and neither do we.
The episode of the Mumbai blasts is history, and what we have done? Gone to the US to prove how badly we have been screwed, then send dossiers to Pakistan to prove they are breeding terrorist and that has been a reason for the Mumbai blasts. Pakistan as always keeps denying and lying, and we keep the so called the diplomatic pressure. Why can’t we take a leaf from Israel’s book? I guess we are happy displaying the olive leaf and preaching peace and getting bombed to pieces.
Just don’t understand how come all actors who have made it to Politics thinking of serving the nation when they don’t have any work in the film Industry to serve them. How come suddenly a gush of desire to serve the nation?? So we have Sanju Baba who cares a shit for the Congress and becomes a Samajwadi candidate. When you don’t have loyalties to a party that your family was aligned with, what loyalty will you have towards the country. The political institution in India is known for having criminals who want to have it as a status symbol that makes them ‘untouchable’ to their crimes; a washing machine that washes off all previous crime; a license to do more crimes and frauds with political impunity. So Sanjay got his trial under TADA cleared with Congress help and now that he is being tried under arms act which will be cleared by the Samajwadi Party. The gullible and illiterate masses will definitely vote him to power, and Sanjay Dutt will be ‘Lagey Rahoing’ to his usual polygamy, and shooting movies in Mumbai and all over the world, and Lucknow can blame it’s luck for the mess it will continue to be in.
The height is MNS workers barging into a film shooting unit and threaten a Pakistani comedian Shakeel Ahmed Siddiqui, to return back to Pakistan. How stupid can one get? Why threaten a simple artiste? Just because he is Pakistani? Earlier was boycott Amitabh Bachhan cause his wife shot her mouth off with some remark at some function. Then it was shoo off all ‘North Indians’ from Mumbai. Prior to that in the 70’s the Shiv Sena wanted to shoo off ‘South Indians’. Why can’t these jokers for a change go and plan clandestine ‘jihadi style’ attacks inside Pakistan. Well you need balls for that, and since it’s not there, keep pimping the ‘Marathi Manoos’ against Indians, from North South East and West.

Raped Public of India
The smoke has subsided. The fervor of holding rallies and burning candles has melted. People are back on the run (as no one in Bombay walks), and we like to pacify ourselves with terminology as the ‘resilient spirit of Bombay’. What a load of bullshit is this pacification. What choice does an average Bombayite have? If he does not got to work he and his family does not eat, as simple as that. So where does resilience come into the picture? It is a matter of no choice.The brutality in the way people died during the terrorist killing will be commemorated with some plaque in some corner of some building, and that’s it. Then we sit and wait for the next attacks and make a hue and cry. Some wise crack will garner support through the Net and get a crowd gathered and bask in the moment of glory, fame and publicity. Some lyricist / script writer and an (m)ad man will use that opportunity to boost their public image, and pride in the cheap publicity and claim that we made a noise………..empty vessels.
R.R. Patil who shut down an Industry of ‘Dance Bars’ under the stupid flimsy and lousy excuse that these places breed anti-social elements, and is an underworld den when gangsters meet. Which dance bar did the terrorists visit before creating carnage in the city? Has anti-social activities stopped after that. Has the underworld hung their boots……..No, but instead it is proven that Dawood Ibrahim has funded the recent terror attacks. Now what else are we going to shut? Good thing is atleast the jerk Patil is shut out of office, but then we would have bigger jerks that are in the waiting. We have Raj Thackrey who hid like a rat in the hole during the terrorist attacks and after that whole fiasco is over comes to congratulate firemen who braved their lives. Why could he not show his face or base when the city was held to ransom? Where was his bunch of party workers who were ready to offer him protection when Z category protection of his was withdrawn, and the dick got wet his pants later, and went to the government begging for protection when there was an incident of a guy from UP who hijacked a bus and wanted to bump him off………wish he had succeeded.
The biggest terrorist threat our country has lived with, has never been external. It has always been internal, which is the political institution of the country, and for that we have to blame only ourselves. The country needs a revolution of people; a new system. What is the new system I don’t know, but all I know is the present one does not work. Once elected politicians behave like dictators and moral police me. Dance bars are bad, Valentine’s Day is a western influence. If not elected vandalise property to remain in public and media glare and project they are fighting the cause of the people like drive North Indians out; display boards in Marathi; etc. In the process hold the city to ransom. Deprive the average common man his right to earn his daily wage. Is this also not terrorism? Can these political arseholes be not treated on the same law as for terrorists? Cause at the end of the day the common man is nothing short of being terrorized.
Who are these politicians to decide to change the name of my city? Then change name of the Airport and confuse a visitor to the city as today in Bombay both the Airports the domestic and international are named after Shivaji Maharaj. Wouldn’t it have been better with the old name of Santacruz Airport and Sahar Airport. Has Shivaji Maharaj’s name being added enhanced the reputation or services……….No, instead has become worse, and judged as the most delayed arrival airports in the world for 2008.
Why can’t we not unite and fight for a change (not just protest) to get the name Bombay back. A small beginning to prove we are not going to take it anymore. The big stuff or creating awareness, burning candles, silent marches are all very momentary and temporary. The politicians know that Bombay has no spirit, and public memory is short as short and we can do nothing.
So let us on this coming Republic Day of India, send a message that we the Public of India will not stand this raping any more
