Human Rights & Wrongs
Human rights are understandable in terms of poverty alleviation, where a deprived human deserves the basic right of food, shelter, clothing, education and health care. Stressing the word ‘deprived’ as most of the poverty is deprivation of rights due to the greed of the rich and richer nations.
When the recent event of Sri-Lankan’s army victory of crushing the LTTE comes under allegation of Human Rights violation, it is definitely not right and in fact is idiosyncrasy of the so called educated and civil society who knows the world through their television sets in the bedroom, or conversations over cocktail parties.
United Nations which is sex toy of the USA is used when it wants to screw and have an orgy with other nations. US has been committing graver violations, right from Vietnam, to bombing of Japan, to Iraq and now their sinister design plans over Iraq. US even go to the extent of supporting Israel over their atrocities on Palestinians, when all they are seeking is their basic home land, and their right.
Whenever there is war, which could be a Nation against another Nation, or for that matter a Nation protecting its sovereignty against forces of terror there will always be causalities. This is not propagating abuse of power or justifying ‘ethnic cleansing’ which maybe happening, and which USA leads in this area with what it has done to the Red Indians, who are the original inhabitants of the land. The world rejoices in US having its first black President, who is not anyway pure black but of mixed parentage. For that matter it is difficult to judge real parentage of many Americans, with their social life style, and with the latest being of a mother giving birth to twins with each of the twin having a separate father.
So when the world (mainly US) comes crying foul of a fight against terrorism, no one wants to speak of the atrocities done by these terrorists groups globally. US only acknowledged terrorism after 911. Many countries like India and Sri-Lanka have battling the menace for decades. No one that time even battled an eye lid when these terror groups liked innocents in thousands. But if action is taken against terror the world cries foul and what is even paradoxical is when world bodies try to dictate how terrorists who are caught should be treated. When they should be actually butchered, society feels they should be treated with dignity and humanely and calls it human rights. Where were all the Tamil protestors in UK and US, when the LTTE was killing innocents in Sri Lanka?
Six months have passed after the gruesome of bombings in Bombay, and till today the lone caught terrorist is treated as if he is a rare precious stone found. He is guarded with such top most security which that Prime Minster may not even have. For that matter India had its former prime ministers killed by terrorists groups, and here a terrorist caught, is protected. India has also traded a terrorist in exchange of a hijacked plane. Had the terrorist been eliminated when he was caught, it would have built fear in these terror agencies. One case had been of a minister in India whose daughter was kidnapped and released in exchange of a terrorist released. Being a minister’s daughter the trade off was done. What about the other poor innocents who get butchered every day. The lone terrorist caught in Bombay blasts makes demands of news papers and perfume. The only perfume he should be given is the blood of innocents he has killed and it should be sprayed on him daily. There can never be human rights applied to terrorists, as they cannot be even called human. Their acts are not in any form that can be justified by human society. So yes when they are fought back, innocents may die.
Killing and eliminating of terrorists is not a wrong, but a Human Right

Jai Ho
One day I tried to exchange intellectual thoughts with a fellow commuter in a first class Bombay local train. Now all the best in articulation or linguistic ability, one can never explain to anyone what it means to travel in a local train in Bombay. It is like trying to explain resurrection and the person would be a ‘Doubting Thomas’ till he doesn’t experience and feel the resurrected. After he experiences it he would never want be resurrected, for that matter would not want to live thereafter. The emphasis of a ‘first class’ travel was to just to flaunt my status symbol as if I am travelling in a Merc, to cover the stupidity that I pay more and travel like cargo. Even cargo is transported better, just that in Bombay travel by train ensures you are perishable cargo as you are perished when you reach your destination. So with the fellow commuter we were packed like cargo sticking to each other just a little bit far from what you would get close to having sex. Sometimes I feel gays originated in Bombay local trains in Bombay, as life in Bombay anyway kills you, leaving you with no strength for sex, so virtually experience it when you travel, so what if it is with the same sex.
Now back to the intellectual sharing of thoughts, with my fellow commuter.
I boasted (as always I do of India), that we would be a soon super power. To which he replied he would rather wish for uninterrupted power to light up his house.
To encourage him I told him we have a huge foreign exchange surplus from where we were once, to levels of selling our gold reserves for survival. He pointed out that he would prefer basic water reserves, which he has to now get up early morning and store as water supply too was not uninterrupted, and many a times rare.
I pointed out we are a country known for food self sufficency, to which he questioned me of starvation deaths in Maharashtra.
I told him of how an Indian company has made the world’s cheapest car the Nano and soon he could drive in his own car, he said he would prefer a boat. I was confused, and thought he was getting too greedy or choosy for comfort. I asked him what he meant, and he gave me a dead pan faced honest reply, enquiring if the Nano will ride over floods in the monsoons.
I told him about the Indians that have landed into the Forbes list of Billionaires, and he asked he how does it make sense when two of them are brothers, and don’t see eye to eye. Anyways Indians don’t see eye to eye with each other being a divided and derogatorily labeled as Ghattis for Maharashtrians, Madrasi for the most of South, Bihari for the most of North, Pavwallahs for Goans.
I told him of how India has launched a space craft to the moon. This got him amazed and I felt I was successful in convincing him, and he replied we can send a space craft to the moon, but in a small island like Bombay we don’t have direct connectivity from East to West of the island, as most of our transport system is designed from South to North.
I told him that the Congress is back in power, so cheer up. See out stock market zoomed the next day after result. To which he pointed out that the Congress did not win. I realized then that I was trying to make an ‘intellectual conversation’ with a dumb ass, and seeing my disbelief he explained further. The Congress did not win; it was just that the others lost. That was even more confusing to which he tried to explain even further with an anecdote of how any normal person can win a race in a Paralympics. So Congress was just the lesser evil that the other evils. What are the choices you can vote for? Without being in power the Shiv Sena and MNS could create riots and law and order situation problem in Bombay, so how do you vote for them. When MNS is a division of a family how can they keep a city together or united? They divided Bombay in lines of the Maharashtrians v/s the rest and now they successfully divided the Maharashtrians against each other. So soon riots would be not be Maharashtrians v/s North Indians, it would North Maharashtra v/s South Maharashtra, or Maharashtrians from Kalanagar and Maharashtrians from Shivaji Park within Bombay. So Bombay was made Mumbai with a promise to be made Shangai, and now we can call it Shamehai.
How would you vote for the communist who policies don’t match today’s realities, or for a Samajwadi Party, who plans to make a party with failed or failing cine stars. Wanting to know if he atleast did vote, to which he showed me his finger inked, and he commented this time we are going to get the finger from the palm that is a party symbol.
I pretended to get busy and connect my head set to my mobile and make an urgent call, when discretely I turned on the radio to listen to music, to retreat from the loosing debate, and the radio blared ‘Jai Ho’

Human Rubbish
‘Human Resources’ is another synonym for the erstwhile ‘Personnel Department’. The first department that usually welcomes you, to a make believe world of that you have arrived into the best Organization of/for your career. Pseudo assurances on how you would be cared for, plastic smiles urging to call anytime should so you need any assistance, and introducing to the ‘so called culture’ of the Organization only for you to realize that there is none. Wished the name ‘Personnel Department’ was maintained as it had something that sounded ‘personal’ at least, even if it did not mean it. The word ‘Human Resource’ stinks of human beings used as mere resources, like toilet paper or a dust bin. So as long as you are hung in the Organization, everything is so ornamental, like toilet paper or dustbin in a five star hotel. So beautifully decorated and hung. The purpose at the end is to clean crap or dump rubbish.Employees are now waking up to the reality that there is no more the job scenario of one being employed from ‘womb to tomb’. If our earlier generation did have it, it was pure exploitation by companies that made huge profits, and the insecurity or the complacency of the employed class. Gone are the days when a ‘brand name Organization’ made a difference. In fact they are the ones who treat employees with least dignity and layoffs are done with a designer color called ‘pink slips’. It should have been ideally called ‘red slips’ as one goes red in anger, goes red deep in debt, has employees and families at times committing suicides, which finally spills red.
Many a time I don’t understand interviews conducted by HR. Can understand evaluating one on their experience and academics, but questions such as :
How long do you see yourself in this job if selected? Has any Organization given anyone an assurance of how long they will keep one employed?
Why do you want leave your present company?Obviously to earn more, but since HR is so used to hearing bullshit and talking even more bull, the reason one has to give is for better prospects and I feel I can stretch my talents better with your Organization, blah blah.
You seem to have jumped many Organizations in your career, and don’t have stability in an OrganisationDon’t organizations diversify or expand, why can’t they be stable where they are. So it is completely ok for companies to diversify and expand to make profits and completely sacrilege for an employee to expand and move on the next best opportunity, and earn more.
What is your CTC expected?Cannot understand how an employee be a ‘cost to company’ instead an employee is aninvestment into the company. ‘Cost to company’ sounds like a burden to the company, which would be replaced if the burden can be lowered and another donkey can be got to slave the same amount or even more. Guess that’s what it is supposed to mean.
Probation period till confirmation?This was something that could never be decoded. Either on probation or confirmed, you can be kicked anyways. Just that by keeping you on probation an employee can be exploited more by having some of his/her benefits deferred, like no leave during probationary period, a pay hike only after confirmation, etc. Confirmation anyways means little as it is only a mirage of security.
We as an Organization are committed to very strong ethics and have an open and transparent culture. Could anyone explain what this means? Are there any ethics in what is happening globally? Be it the GM, IBM’s or Microsoft’s or Satyam in our backyard. They ethically, openly and transparently screw you. If an IBM or Microsoft outsources it is no way that an India or China has better talent, it only means they have better donkeys that can be slaved long hours, and paid a pittance.
We offer the best performance bonuses and incentives……..Does everyone get it, and if they do, do they always get what was assured? If performance incentives are linked to a company’s performance in earning revenues, does that mean if it did not or did below expected, you pay the price, while CEO walks away with huge bonuses, etc. Guess that’s why they are called Chief Executive Office, one who executes (meaning murder) an Organization
The emphasis or glorification of a HR Department is beyond any understanding. A department which is purely to pimp talent, seduce them at a lower cost and show a carrot on a stick, and have them escorted to the boss who would use and abuse them. The ones who take the abuse continue, the ones who do not are thrown back to the HR who now dons the role of bouncer from that of a pimp, this time to show you the door.
Once you are booted out, the cycle begins all over and the saga continues, another HR round who sees you as nothing more than Human Rubbish.

Swine Flew
I remember years ago when plague was declared in India, source being garbage in Surat, every Indian travelling abroad was treated like a leper. Not that we ever treated better anyways, but thanks to the plague the world had every reason to discriminate us further. US with its usual ‘foot in its mouth’ disease used its media machinery propaganda to malign India as it always does, but as usual India emerged out it, this time cleaner as Surat became a model for cleanliness.
Now the problem is in America’s backyard, so the treatment is different. There is no travel ban to and from Mexico like how it was done for India. No warnings nothing. The fact anyways is swine flu has been transmitted more futher than what the plague did when it originated from India.
Feeding the insatiable appetite and greed for American consumerism, everything has to be produced more. So go for Genetically Modified (GM) Food. This way you get more grain from your farm and stress the natural resource of the earth and pollute it with fertilizers. Inject hormones into animals so they grow faster, and the meat factories churns faster, makes profit faster. Then today the world is paying the price. Fatten the pig and it gets sick. Then its sickness gets transmitted to humans. Humans get it as everything we eat is GM food. So nothing natural goes in, which fails our immune system. Our immune system fails pump it up with vaccines and drugs.
So longevity of life has increased but at the cost of decrease in quality of life. Build cars that pollute and today we don’t have clean air to breathe. So much has been American greed and their lust for power and financial supremacy, even the financial market falls sick. So to pump that inject stimulus packages, and make it more weak in the long run. GM Food or GM cars both failed for US
America wished if pigs could fly, unfortunately this time the pig flew
