The First Commandment
Maybe Biblical, but universal
with all religions competing with each other, where each want to proclaim,
Theirs is the True Lord thy God and their followers will not have any other
God’s before theirs.
In this competing proclamation of
God superiority, no God has come down or will ever come down to save the world.
On the contrary in this moment of a deadly Corona virus pandemic, it is the
brave Doctors, Nurses, Paramedics, Police and other selfless volunteers who are
risking their lives, to keep others’ lives safe. The doors to the Temples,
Mosques, Churches, Synagogues, Fire Temples and whatever religious structures,
where one takes refuge in moments of crisis, are shut. No God is going to come
out of these religious structures to heal anyone, and with their doors shut,
even God will have an excuse that they cannot come out. Neither will most of the
priests, pundits nor religious leaders come out citing ‘social
distancing’. Most of these who peddle
God as a business, distance God from the believers and claim that they can get
God close to those who Pray, Prostate, Pay,
Repeat. In this repetitive cycle, some ‘natural
cure and more a placebo effect’ is publicised as an intervention of God, or
a miracle of a saint or a religious leader. Most of these celebrity religious
gurus, have abused their followers with sexual cruelty and fear psychosis.
None of these jokers would dare
to show their power in this moment of pandemic that is killing the world, as they
have none. The only power has been the use of fear of God, they keep the
followers subjected too. This pandemic has come as a boon, an eye opener and a
revelation to many. The first being there is no God outside but it is inside
every human being. Social distancing has now led the world to change the way of
greeting which is normally of shaking hands, and now it is strongly urged that
the world practices the ancient and respectful Indian way of greeting, which is
joining of hands and gently bowing to the other saying ‘Namastey.’
It’s time for the world to a have
a paradigm shift from medieval religious practices, dogmas, rituals and
elevating human beings to a divine position or religious leadership. Instead realizing
and respecting God in every human being. Again using a Biblical reference, God created man in HIS own image. What
does it mean, HE replicated HIMSELF in
creation and expects us to do what we expect out of HIM. Till this
realization is not understood we are all practicing rituals, and not doing what
God wants us to do. A God in the Bible who
sent HIS only son to lay down HIS life for us. HE is not asking us lay down
our lives or lay down in front of HIM but definitely commanding us to understand, that every human being is God and you
will not have any other religious structure, statues and rituals above any
human being hungry, naked, persecuted, sick, dying or abandoned. No God wants our money for a miracle, infact
HE wants us to be miracles in people’s lives by reaching out, and not
outsourcing it to a religion and it leaders by paying.
God never appointed any Human
Being as his successor or offered HIS franchise, to be branded with a religious
name. HE on the contrary is commanding us to be HIM, and we end up on our knees
in front of an image or a structure where we made to believe HE is residing,
but cannot see HIM inside us, or feel HIM in another human being. One of the
social media message was ‘soul provoking’ and stated, Could Corona be a vaccine to the virus of humans in the world?
Think about it, how true it could be. A world made for everyone to live in
peace and harmony, and each of us to be the source of happiness to each other. How
did we end up a world with boundaries? A world with discrimination? Obsessive
greed for materialism and power? Worst being a world piled with ammunition to
kill and destroy whom? Definitely not to destroy some aliens who will invade
earth, but instead kill our own species which means we are crucifying and
killing God again and again, and
expecting HIM to come again when we don’t want HIM to live anymore. Is Coronavirus
a Cornea opener not just our eyes, but our Minds, Hearts and our Souls to the
First Commandment, wrongly interpreted till date, when the real meaning is
Namastey, which literally means, “I bow
to the God in you.” The spiritual meaning of Namaste conveys that
“the divine in me respectfully acknowledges
the divine in you.”

Sunny wonderfully written and very thought provoking, moreover I agree with the fact that religion is a business and the only true religion is humanity.... am sure all the holy books convey this various ways perhaps they were written when times were different.

When I started reading the post, i was under the impression that this is an other atheist (non believer) post but as they say dont judge the book by the cover, it is clear by the time the post ends that what you say is absolutely the reality out there.. there were many movies trying to show the reality to the world that what these tax free business so called religious institutions sell is just one product 'Fear of God' hope the world realises this sooner.

Thought provoking indeed. While I wouldn't put a blanket blame on all the religious leaders being business men selling God /Fear, I acknowledge many are fit to be blamed. Also the real blame is on us for not understanding the real meaning of faith and word of God.

Sunny what you have written is so true religion as we know today is a money making enterprise. Keep posting such articles. You never know, that one day your articles could help change the world to be a better place to live.
