With you as amongst the most loved and respected TV news anchor in India and that to of amongst the most reputed TV channel, of which you are also the Editor in chief. Needless to mention you being one of my favorite news anchor, and how I await to watch you deliver news and debates. 

Unfortunately a debate on conversions and caste system in India many months ago you were completely contradicting yourself.

Then trying hard and been extremely successful in getting the words you wanted out of the panelist. Then with Dr. Subramaniam Swamy on a debate for a topic like this, you can have the cake with icing and eat it too. His views on this subject is ether his way or u take take the highway. He has always been of his self imposed alleged belief that all Indians were once upon a time Hindus. From where did he scavenge this information only God knows. As before Hinduism there were human beings that walked, talked and prayed in this land. Even today there are tribes who don't associate with Hinduism. If all Indians were Hindus then I believe in Darwin's theory of evolution of all human beings evolved from monkeys. So should we continue to behave like them?

You contradicted yourself so bad that if there was a caste system of news anchors you would be on the lowest caste. That's besides a Google search of best news anchors in India does not even feature your name. If AI progresses Google Search would come a response, 'Rahul naam tho suna hi nahi hai.' On hand you kept emphasizing and reiterating that caste system especially untouchability in bad practice in Hindu religion therefore the Dalit community which has been the worst effected should be given reservation. Not once you said this practise should be abolished and treated as a crime and say in 10 years all reservations and caste based benefits be abolished. Like how Sati, child marriages in Hinduism is abolished. 

Your weak point of view and weaker argument was if Dalits converts to another religion like Christianity and Islam, they should not get the benefits and reservations. So what you are trying to emphasize and reinforce that Hinduism is a religion with a bad practice of categorizing people on caste levels to the levels where some can be untouchables? Yes Christianity and Islam may not have a caste system but can than that change the social system and social status of the individual? Caste system in Hinduism was based on the work of an individual. So if a person from some mideviel times was priest he was a Brahmin, if a warrior then he is Kshatriya and generations that followed still continue to belong to that caste. That is besides the point there would be Brahmins who are not priests, so would they lose their caste status. Then Kshatriyas who still pride of the warrior ancestory of sword wielding soldiers, and today many who would not know how to use a kitchen knife. 

So with Dalits and untouchables so if it is a religion that is keeping them backward what is the government doing? Compensating them to remain in tne low class with reservations and other benefits? What about the ones in the lower class who manage to make it in life, will they give up the low class status to not avail.of the benefits? Will the goverment stop giving them benefits if they come to know they have prospered? So this has nothing to do with religion. If it has then let Sati and child marriages be legalised? Let's not get selective.

Yes Christianity and Islam does not have a caste system. That is in the eyes of their God they are one. They are not discriminated in the places of worship or get killed for drinking water from a community well. This does not mean that their God will make them prosperous and society will still continue to classify humans in races, class, religion and creed and subject the weak or minorities to atrocities. Even the President of India spoke of atrocities against Christians
