Manipur carnage, violence and vandalism is no more the major news. Though the flames of burning Churches and homes are still simmering. So the God that resides in a Church is no longer news worthy? Now it is to prove that a place of worship of Muslims was actually a place where a Hindu God resided once. So a Hindu God needs human beings to restore HIS dignity and restore him back to his place?

All the euphoria, expression of pain, condemnation, prayer meets and video uploads by the clergy on the Manipur violence would be doused by media giants. They will now be showcasing the war for their Gods abode fought in court by Hindus and Muslims. The simmering fires in Manipur will never be doused. The actual fires may die but the sectarian targeted families especially children will be burning with haunting memories for a long time to come.

Everyone wants to know why the Prime Minister has not spoken? Has the Pope spoken? Has the Nuncio the ambassador to the Vatican spoken? The Prime Minister will not speak and even if he speaks what is expected to be achieved. The Church leaders and the laity need to have the courage to speak out loud and state vociferously that the community will never vote for a BJP with a Modi or Amit Shah in power or even not vote for BJP or even not vote for a Congress with the Gandhi family at the helm. Even if the community or the clergy don't speak the community are anyways a victim and target. In a city like Mumbai and once upon a time Catholic majority residing area and known as the Queen of the suburbs, Bandra; Church grave land portions were  earmarked to be demolished for infrastructure development? Where is the elite group of Christian clergy leaders who felicitated Modi in Kerala? Where are those voices now on Manipur?

Then what is the Catholic Church doing? Collecting money for Pope's expense called Peter's Pence? Does the Pope's office need money from a minority community in India? Why should money from India be funneled to Rome for the white supremacists decide what to send to us? Peter's Pence is a scam which can be googled and so too Vatican Bank scam and needless to mention millions of dollars paid to settle sex court cases of the sexcapes of the clergy. Is this expense Catholics in are made fund from India? Then cheques collected are in the name of 'The Archdiocese of Bombay.' Practically most or all cheques are collected in this name for any other disaster relief. Where is the escrow account to bifurcate the expenses?

Where were all these Indian clergy and other organisations and associations when Nuns were being raped by Bishop Franco Mulakkal? Secret family of Bishop William? Sodomy and sex crimes of the clergy in India? How different is it from the carnage in Manipur? Is it because of the mass numbers of people effected in Manipur? If the parable of lost sheep mentions of the shepherd trying to find the one lost sheep, then these black sheep in the clergy, actually wolves in sheep clothing need to be kicked out, defrocked and ideally stripped naked.

So the government has shifted focus from one God to another God, can the Church atleast focus on the laity who pray to the God they preach. Not just prey on them for lust and their money.
