Dedications

The latest in India is of a religious furore of anger, on some South Indian Politican allegedly making derogatory remarks on an aspect of Hinduism. Whether he was talking of evils of the religious practise or insulting it in totality, is a matter of debate in Parliment!

Diverting tactics of the government from core human issues to protecting religion is the easiest escape route, tested and tried and proven successful. Rapes and rapist let scot free, Manipur burnt ro ashes, River water sharing of Cavery with Tamil Nadu under dispute, China infiltrated into India, floods across India and the destruction it brought alongwith it, all this is irrelevant and insult to a religion is more important. Which God in any religion needs humans to protect His or Her identity or supremacy?

Inflation, unemployment, air index quality, corruption, Mega projects being gifted to one individual, Opposition being hounded by enforcement agencies like EOW, ED, CBI, Income Tax, those from opposition who switch loyalties to the governing party has all corruption charges dropped. All this now diverted with naming the country from India ro Bharat. Many places have been renamed because it is Colonial names or named after Moghul rulers who allegedly have destroyed Hindu temples and killed millions. Why only change names? 

Will demolishing and bring down structures built by the colonists or Mughal rulers be next? Will the Taj Mahal, Rashtrapathi Bhavan, many forts built by colonists or Moghuls be demolished? The Red Fort a Moghul construction is where from the time of India's Independence Prime Ministers have given their Indpendence Days speeches. The first Prime Minister Jawaharlal  Nehru's speech 'Tryst with Destiny', even echoes now. What will be our destiny going forward? Just change of names? Not that Congress either did anything significant for India's destiny. Even if done most Institutions was named after a family (not a party) that governed India most, post Independence. 

Will changing name, change anything? Proving Hindu Temples existed where some Mosques are allegedly built by Moghuls, and planning to demolish them to restore Hindu temples. How will this help? Will this restore pride of India's rich past? What about the future? China has built the largest bridge that connects China to Hong Kong. What have we built? The largest statue in the world? We can't even build good roads and pride to have reached the moon, whose surface would be better than many of our roads.

Finally it is now to rename India to Bharat. Why just rename? Why not get back all land that once belonged to Bharat, or atleast parts of Kashmir what is Aksai Chin which is under Chinese control and POK under Pakistan control? Don't just glorify India with a name change but regain the glory with what belonged to India and then name it anything.

A rose by any other name would smell as sweet. No one has yet renamed a rose. Even if ever done, no one will want to call it a lotus for sure.
