King of Kings
A King who could have been born in a palace
But a King who was born in a manger
A King who was born amidst animals
But a King who had wise men who came to gift him Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh
A King who did not come to change scripture
But a King who wanted it interpreted with humanity in mind
A King with miraculous powers to do anything
But a King who used it first to keep the dignity of a family, turning water into wine
A King who never wanted to rule
But a King who wanted to heal
A King who did not just preach to everyone
But a King who wanted to reach everyone
A King who did not arrange a buffet at His sermon on the Mount
But a King who took food from one boy who came to hear Him, and multiplied it and feed the multitude
A King who could judge the sinner
But instead loved the sinner
A King who preached forgiveness to a sinner
But allowed anyone to stone a sinner only if they have not sinned, and there were none who could
A King who not only made the lame walk
But a King who walked on water
A King who could provide without laborous effort
But a King who showed his disciples where to fish
A King whose anger had Him whip traders out of the temple
But a King who could also calm the anger of the weather in a stormy sea
A King who not only had a vision of the world tomorrow
But a King who gave vision to the blind
A King who never discriminated
But a King who healed lepers so they could assimilate
A King who knew who would betray Him
But the King still did not punish the betrayer
A King who was promised a kingdom by the devil on earth
But a King whose chose His Father's kingdom in heaven
A King who could have avoided the Cross
But a King who chose to die on the Cross
A King that did not judge a criminal of his crime, crucified along with him
But a King that promised salvation to Him for his faith
A King who did not curse the ones who crucified Him
But a King who told His Father in heaven to forgive them
A King who could not be be killed with crucifixion
But a King who after being killed, rose again
A King who is not merely a human historical figure
But a King and figure of life, alive in a broken world today
A King no Kings in the past could emulate before Him
But a King who cannot be emulated even after Him
A King who has never gone away
But a King who will come again
A King who was not an ordinary king
But a King of Kings and His name is JESUS
