Convert Convert Convert
Two shocking stories of Catholic conversions from Don Bosco Shelter, Mumbai, were reported in the news recently. Stories that the media and rogue religious bodies are silent about. These are the stories of Omkar Shinde, Shankar Jadhav, and Sunil Kharge.
Omkar Shinde and Shankar Jadhav were orphans from govt. orphanages who had to leave after they turned 18. The question arises: what happens to these orphans from such orphanages after they cross 18? Why is the Catholic-run Salesian congregation, Don Bosco Shelter, taking in such orphans after they are 18?
It is a no-brainer that these are planned conspiracies of the Catholic Church, especially the Salesian congregation, to convert such orphans. How many have been converted needs to be investigated. They are being converted to be good and honest human beings and citizens with education, love, and a home that nourishes them with a roof and care. Needless to mention fed with rice also. Rice Bag is a derogatory term used to describe the Christian religious institutions and the community.
These converts have become police constables. This is a threat to the alleged corruption in the Police Force. When people from such challenging backgrounds make it to positions of law and order, it is a direct attack on corruption. They are products of extreme poverty and abject deprivation, and have been converted to be good citizens of India.
Surprising is intelligentsia like Anand Ranganathan, and media celebrity losing credibility, Arnab Goswami, who scavenge and investigate negative stories of the Christian missed this story of open conversion happening at Don Bosco Shelter. Both products of a part or their entire education from Christian educational institutions.
The frustration of some media and some in the system is because of the shaming and belittling of the Christian community that neither instigates the community nor instigates many towards them? Don't they realise this is a community that offers the other cheek when slapped on one cheek? A community that does not mind being crucified by the nails of the media and intelligentsia. They worship a God who was crucified, killed, and resurrected. Not extinct like the dinosaurs, as Arnab described them in a recent news telecast, where he kept repeating: "Convert, Convert, Convert."

Robbing Paul to Pay Peter
The recent theft at Ram Mandir has corroded faith and raised serious questions about those responsible for temple administration and fund management. And this is happening across all religions. There are allegations of funds being used for terror activities or for forced or lured conversions.
Does God need a place of worship? That’s another question. If God does need a place of worship, does God need your money? If God needs your money, are we paying God or bribing God to give us more prosperity and money. Then hope for a cyclical chain of God giving you and you giving God a portion back?
The justification given is that the money collected is used for charitable purposes: to care for the underprivileged, for those needing medical care, for funding the education of the poor, and for providing food rations.
But for all this, do we need intermediaries of God to do these noble actions? Did God appoint these religious leaders or caretakers?
The lifestyles of these religious leaders are something that is openly, blatantly, and shamelessly displayed. Who funds their lifestyles? God or you and me?
In the Catholic Church, there is a fund collected called Peter’s Pence which is collected every year around this time. It is allegedly used for two main purposes: supporting the practical operations and mission of the Holy See, and funding charitable outreach and disaster relief in dozens of countries. The Holy See is a sea of wealth.
Which disaster relief has Peter’s Pence contributed to in India? Even if it did, do Indian Catholics need white men in Rome to decide for us Indians?

Pentacost
Biblical narration speaks of the Holy Spirit descending on Mother Mary and the disciples, as tongues of flame. This descending of the Holy Spirit gave the disciples the gift to speak in tongues. Which today is badly represented and a mockery by some clergy and some self styled Church leadership blabbering some gibberish. When it actually meant the disciples could speak in foreign languages or when they spoke in their native language, those hearing could hear it in their language.
Today AI, Artificial Intelligence can translate any language and the person hearing it can understand. During the time of the disciples it was also AI. Almighty Intervention where those hearing the disciples preach could hear them in their local language. Not just hear but feel the spirit of God.
We all are manifestation of the Holy Spirit. The problem is instead of being tongues of flames that inspire, love and care, our tongues have become fiery with hate, anger, jealousy, greed, discrimination resulting in the broken world we are living in today. Literally broken and destroyed that we rain flames of destruction with wars that are raging across many countries. Including the geography where the Holy Spirit descended on Mother Mary and the disciples.
It's time we realised we are the spirit. The choice is ours do we want to be Holy or Evil or be Artificial? Or be entertained by an artificial comic character a friendly spook like Casper or stand up comedians that make fun of religion and we watch it over some alcoholic spirits. When Bollywood movies flushed with money and best in technology end up copying or buying copyrights of South Indian movies. So low are their standards with the highest production cost that South Indian movies with modest budgets make the best and highest quality of movies Needless to mention the standards of talent and modesty of its actors. One such example is Joseph Vijay Chandrasekhar.
Thalapathy means General or Commander, and Vijay has proven to be exactly that. In the 2026 elections, his party, TVK, delivered a political earthquake that shook the foundations of the DMK (est. 1949) and AIADMK (est. 1972). By positioning himself as a leader who transcends religious divides—born to a Christian father and Hindu mother—Vijay has tapped into an awakened electorate that values merit over identity politics.
The undercurrent of this imminent victory is not just his speeches against corruption or the benefits Vijay has promised. The undercurrent is an awakened India or maybe just South India or precisely Tamil Nadu, that is not going to fall into religious divisive politics. Indians have had enough of this religious ideology be fed to them. They have now realised that it was Religion laced with poison of hate. It is a nation which was truly a beacon of innovation, freedom, and humanity. Yes, it did have its dirty, stinking, filthy, dark underbelly of racial discrimination, brutal slavery, and, in today's time, is a peddler of war whose economy thrives on war. It is an economy driven purely and solely only by capitalist ideology and no humanity. It is a country run by a few individuals, with most being Jews. Today, practically the whole of America is on the streets with their 'No Kings' protest. This is a clear message and awakening which many countries should emulate peacefully, especially GCC countries.
What makes the Jews superior to Arabs? Nothing. The Jews have been persecuted a long time in history with death, starvation, and even being stateless. This pain and agony has built their resilience to grow to levels where the United States of America is actually United Puppets in the hands of the Jews. Arabs got their prosperity without intellect, and it was a sudden evolution from the camel's back to a Cadillac. While for the Jews and even the Japanese, it was rising from the ashes. How far in distance is the Arab world and Israel?
How come the Jews with not a drop of water or oil prospered and the Arabs could not? Surely a no-brainer. Arabs, it is not that they had no brain, but they felt they would survive till Armageddon with oil, religious fundamentalism, and protection from America. While the Jews not only just believed in their survival with their religion but also with intellect, Arabs got fooled into believing that America will protect them forever, when America only protects its interests. Arabs, with all their wealth, could not build a security of defense or innovation in technology or education.
The biggest mistake was aligning with America completely for survival. As for GCC countries, the only intellect they had, and maybe they need to thank Allah for that, was their boycott of Israel. Unfortunately and shamelessly, they are now warming up to Israel. The GCC should have joined forces with Iran to speed up the destruction of the USA and make it the DSA: the Destructed States of America.
What the Jews did was control American interests, and America has no choice but to ensure their protection. This means protection of their capitalist interests in multinational companies and even financial institutions within America. It is the Jews that control America, irrespective of whether it is a liberal or a Democrat President. The Jews that have illegally captured land and named it Israel need to wage war with Iran to claim supremacy. While in America they do it without firing a bullet, instead they make America fight the war too, with Iran.
Only a terrorist like Donald Trump can kidnap the Venezuelan President on their land? The reason is to ensure the oil reserves. Otherwise, what value does Venezuela have? American leadership thought the whole world is some Libya or Iraq or a controlled Pakistan on a leash.
They did not learn from Vietnam and Afghanistan. America confused Iran with Pakistan or the GCC, where they could bully and exert power. Iran is different; they don't get bullied. It is a country whose name America pronounces as "I-ran," when in reality, America, in this U-ran.

Bon Appetite India
In every calamity there is an opportunity, but in India, every calamity has been an opportunity for governments to blame someone else. According to today's government, all calamities in this country are because of Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, and anyone in the opposition in the states.
The dichotomy or paradox is that in every calamity, there has always been prosperity for ministers in the ruling party. They can even create a calamity to ensure their own prosperity. Prosperity to levels that ensure their future generations are planned to be in power. They ensure their prosperity in every calamity, or ensure there is a constant calamity so there is perennial prosperity for their generations to follow.
Is winning elections to stay in power the only motto, rather than building a nation that is powerful? Winning a World Cup in cricket will not take away the cup of problems the nation is facing. We should be winning against all calamities with self-sufficiency, where citizens never face cruel hardships like those seen during COVID for gas cylinders, or today, with citizens queuing for cooking gas. The same cooking cylinder that was used as a political campaigning exercise, fooling the poor, is now a struggle to obtain for many.
With the war crisis in West Asia, there is a shortage of fuel. What have all the governments done since the time of India got it's independence? Having hostile neighbors, what have we prepared ourselves to take pride in, where basic survival security is concerned? The tallest statue in the world, which was built with Chinese help, also leaked? The biggest cricketing stadium, named after a living and ruling Prime Minister, which was a mess in the first monsoon? And finally, the Ram Mandir, which also leaked? If God cannot be protected from the rain, how can the country be protected?
India has among the largest reserves of thorium, which can be used to generate electricity. That can produce cheaper electricity, than what is now produced with coal, gas and uranium which is a huge percentage of imports and other imported fuel material? Or has the invention of Modi, of making gas from sewer drains been proven successful? As of now, it is a nation going down the drain along with the war crisis. Even biogas can be generated from human excreta. New building constructions that are mandated to have rainwater harvesting could also be told to have septic tanks for human excreta to generate cooking gas.
If politicians could stop mudslinging between the opposition and the ruling party, which could honestly be termed, in a crude but real way, as 'shit-slinging'. So much Parliament time wasted could have been used to plan how gas from human excreta can be implemented on a war footing. In times of war or otherwise, our energy imports could be reduced drastically.
Ending on a lighter realistic note: one man’s food can be made from fuel of another man's sh*t.
What is happening now is that politicians are simply feeding us sh*t of divisive politics and hate. Irony is many are even eating it. Bon Appetite, India!

Anti Conversion Bill
A country with a Prime Minister who even refused to declare his marriage when he filed his papers in 2014. Now wanting to dictate citizens rights on marriage, religion and even succeded banning consumption of beef on religious grounds. A source of cheap protein food for the poor.
The latest being citizens right to change their religion with following draconian laws
●Mandatory prior declarations before a District Magistrate
●Police inquiries into the reasons for conversion
●Criminalisation of conversions associated with marriage
●Third-party complaints by relatives or unrelated persons
●Reversal of the burden of proof
Stringent bail provisions and enhanced penalties
No citizens in any civilized, allegedly democratic and secular country want to be dictated human right who to marry and which God they want to believe and pray to? If a person cannot change his religion, then what next? A married person cannot divorce and marry someone?
Why are these laws not applied to ministers who jump ship and go to another party? Obvious what has happened in the recent past, with tainted ministers of corruption, joining the ruling party and all their cases or corruption cleared. So is this not conversion by force. Coercion of opposition with money to join the ruling party. Freebies offered to citizens to vote for a party. All this applied to common man for his right to decide who to marry or change to another religion? Why the draconian laws not applied to ministers?
The control planned under the pretext of not proven with Love Jihad. Then what about a Hindu man marrying a Hindu lady and abusing the woman. What is that? Love Barbadh?
What about Political Jihad on opposition using IT, EoW, ED and jail opposition with some case with no proof, something happened with AAP leader, Arvind Kejriwal? Christian community which has some of the most respected educational institutions have shameless politicians who pride being educated from these Institutions. Shameless as these are the same politicians who make laws on inter caste marriage and religion conversion rights.
India does not need laws on personal rights on marriage and religion, instead a government needs to focus on women safety, not rapists given bail claiming good behavior in jail, ignoring good quality of infrastructure, quality of food and air. Indians need to awaken to divisive politics and secterian atrocities. As the day will not be far when citizens names would be decided by the government who now decides change of names cities and roads, decide what you can wear, what language you can speak or the way it is going not able to speak at all.
So now from an Anti Conversion Bill it would be an Anti Voice Bill next?

After Vietnam, this war with Iran is something the USA will regret. As this war will ensure the complete annihilation of the USA from its military superiority—less a superiority but more of a terrorist. Then it will be its dominance in the financial world and the might of the dollar, whose value would be that of toilet paper.
When Donald Trump wants to bully Iran and thinks he is awakening the Iranian people to fight for a regime change, it should be the Americans that should be ousting the worst dictator and terrorist it has: an American President. Voices are being silenced who express their opinion against Donald Trump. It's time he realized he is Donald Scum. A leader who is caught with his pants down with the Epstein files. Using all forms of distraction like war or toppling leaders won't help him to get his pants up.
America needs an internal revolution for its survival. The world is an awakened world and is questioning why America is meddling with world issues, overthrowing rulers of nations which enjoyed prosperity but are now reduced to rubble. Just for oil? Or be a challenge to American interests? If Americans don't wake up soon, they may wake up to an America with homelessness increasing, crimes threatening daily lives, and inflation that would make it difficult for Americans to afford their daily bread. Even invoking the Lord's prayer will not work, as even God cannot save America.
Choosing Iran as an enemy was the worst and biggest mistake done by America. The stupidest mistake that followed was that by the GCC and Arab nations. Their foolishness in not investing their prosperity into education and research has left many in the generation that followed as zombies living in wealth and with no brains. If Israel and Singapore could arise out of the desert and wasteland and, with no oil or any resources that could catapult them to prosperity, yet ensured they are prosperous.
How did these nations achieve it? No brainer; they used their brains. Brains to research in medicine, agriculture, technology, and defense in a desert like Israel; a financial hub in a wasteland like Singapore? Why could or why did the Arabs not do it? So where did the Arabs go wrong? Developing countries went about using the talents and brains. Developing space stations, medical science breakthroughs, ensuring defense security, food security, etc.
What the Arabs did was fall into the trap of the USA, who were and are using them only for their oil. Would any of the GCC countries be where they are if there were no oil? So when the developing world was innovating and researching, Arabs were only praying and preaching the superiority of Islam and what a peaceful religion it is? Is it? When the world, including India, was sending rockets to space, what were the Arabs doing? Screaming prayers into space.
Back to the USA, this war with Iran will ensure it becomes the United States of Ashes.

The Thirsty Pastor
The story of the thirsty crow was what I was reminded of at Mass today. The parish priest, whose sermons sound like a crow cawing, accordingly delivered a sermon with a cordless mic, so he could caw close to the laity seated in the pews. This is the same priest who tells lectors not to be dramatic and theatrical when they read.
Hilarious were his theatrics when he started preaching—I mean cawing his sermon—he came with a pot in his hands. The sermon was displayed by the pot on top of his head or cradled in his arm at his side, showing how women in rural India fetch fresh water and walk miles to get it. The sermon was about the Israelites complaining to Moses about how thirsty they were, and the reading was on Jesus asking the Samaritan woman for a drink of water.
All this to explain the importance of women in today's world. Little did this Thirsty Pastor know; he had not drunk of the history of Women's Day before weaving biblical gospels and readings to glorify and respect women. Above all, carrying a pot to the sermon, little realizing that potters are in a mainly male-dominated craft industry.
Just like the Vatican, which has idiots like this who demean women being at the altar.

The Church, which is male-dominated, should never be speaking about the importance of women. Hypocrisy is worshipping, venerating, or respecting Mary as the Mother of God. So a woman can be the Mother of God, but she cannot be the head of the Church? Nuns cannot have equal rights as priests and celebrate Mass? What Women's Day is the Church even trying to preach? Women's Day, or the recognition of women, was women fighting for their rights with the women's liberation movement. It was never the Church that came forward in history to give women their rights, nor will it do so in the future. Or is the Church wanting nuns to emulate Mary Magdalene, who poured expensive perfume from an alabaster pot on the feet of Jesus and wiped it with her hair?
Then there was an anecdote the Pastor tried to explain about why a woman who had everything was unhappy. Apparently, it was because she had married a non-Catholic and she was not attending Church services and Christ was missing in her life. What is the message being driven, especially now in India, which is torn with religious divide? So, will a non-Catholic woman marrying a Catholic be happy? Are people in other religions not happy? Or was the Pastor unhappy that he cannot marry?
As for this Thirsty Pastor who came to preach with a pot about the importance of women, he came with an empty pot. I wish it had some water so it could quench his thirst for knowledge and history.

Let's feast on HIS body and blood
The body and blood of Christ is a metaphor. "Take, eat, and drink; this is my body and blood" is not any spiritual savagery or cannibalism. It is a metaphor of speech from the region where Christ was from. It is like in Britain when a person dies, it is referred to as having "kicked the bucket." So, too, are there metaphors in every culture where a literal translation makes no sense.
When Christ said, "Take, eat, and drink; this is my body and blood," it meant to take his teaching and the example of his life and live it the way he did, and then go and preach it to others. Unfortunately, today there are only preachers and no examples from the clergy as to how Christ lived. It is not just the clergy; even among the laity, no one is living Christ-like. Everyone is preaching what Christ was like, ending with Christ not liking any of it.
Even his death, which is explained as "he died for our sins," is a completely wrong interpretation. He died because of the sin and evil practices of the world he lived in, where innocents were also crucified. This is just like in today's world, where innocents are killed in war and others are incarcerated in jails through no fault of their own.
So, let this period of Lent be less about only what Christ taught us. Let it be about what he actually meant and how much we are living our lives based on the life of Christ.
Let it not be only the Stations of the Cross and readings of the Passion of Christ; rather, let us give it meaning through the way we lead our lives. How many people’s crosses will we lighten? How many will we avoid crucifying with our greed to succeed and accumulate worldly wealth? Even Christ said, "My kingdom is not of this earth."
This does not, again, mean the literal interpretation of what Christ said to a rich man when he asked how he could follow him. When Christ said to give up your riches, share them with the poor, and follow him. What he meant was to give up your ego and pride. Share your talents with the less privileged and help others grow. Let it be a resurrection for the underprivileged who are being killed by the capitalism and greed of the world today.
Let us feast on his body and blood of knowledge of what he taught us.

Breaking Fast Over Slow Justice
It was an honor to receive my first invitation in my life, to an Iftar get-together and seminar during the holy month of Ramadan. The event created awareness for the many who rot in Indian jails despite being innocent—ordinary citizens subjected to unjust incarceration. It felt as though the system itself was fasting from justice, while corruption fed upon it.
The speakers on the dais shared the horrors of their time in jail, which was a "fast" devoid of proper food, dignity, or basic human facilities. There was no justice available to break this fast of "slow justice"—in fact, there was no justice at all. It was a community awareness program for Muslims and an awakening regarding the stereotyping of the community as terrorists, lawbreakers, or the "scum of society."
On the dais were speakers from the community who had been subjected to injustice, including one case that lasted nearly two decades. During that persecution, a few of them used their suffering constructively by educating themselves in law. They transformed their time in prison into an educational journey to help fellow inmates. Since their release, they have pledged to help society by working pro bono for justice within an unjust legal system. One of them is my friend and brother, Advocate Wahid Shaikh—a victim of a cruel and unfair system. Advocate Wahi is the founder of Innocence Network.
A community often mocked for its "halal" food choices is now ensuring that a "haram" legal system becomes "halal." While halal primarily refers to the ritual of how animals are slaughtered for food, haram refers to something wrong, evil, or sinful.
The seminar began with Islamic prayers and the traditional prayers offered before the fast is broken. Leaving me wondering how many prayers are currently in courts awaiting justice. It instilled in me the faith this community has in Allah and the teachings of the Quran, which gave them the strength, hope, and conviction that in Allah ki Darbar mein der hai, andher nahi. This means that in the court of Allah, there may be delay, but never darkness.
The meeting enlightened and educated me: if I am privileged and I do not reach out to those facing persecution, then that is an injustice in itself.
What justice can I expect from a blind legal system if I remain blind to the injustice around me?

Ramadan and Lent
One of those years that coincides the beginning of Ramadan and Lent were on the same date. So decided to attempt a Ramadan Fast which is more severe than an Ash Wednesday Fast. Ramadan Fasting is even not drinking water.
As the day progressed, the hunger pangs grew and alongwith that thirst. Normally hunger can be quenched for a while with water. Though I rinse my mouth, as refuse to believe that any God would want a sacrifice to abstain oral hygiene. Only to realise that it is not about only oral hygiene, but what I speak orally.
Reminding me of Mathew 15:11, It is not what goes into the mouth of a man that defiles and dishonors him, but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles and dishonors him.
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) reinforced this by stating, "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him speak goodness or remain silent".
Then as day progressed to noon, hunger was making me restless and I was making myself look miserable.
Reminding me of Matthew 6:16-18, When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
The Quran does have similar guidance on fasting in Surah Al-Baqarah
Fasting is a private act between you and God; avoid showing off (related concept in 2:271, 4:142).
As evening approached it was thoughts of food to be consumed after sunset. Attending the Ash Wednesday religious service, it was less of the religious aspect, where the priest broke the symbolic bread, but my thoughts of breaking bread and devouring dinner.
Wondering if both the Islamic Allah and Catholiic God were happy? Was I happy? The answer I got was no. No God wants your fasting, if it did not awaken in me the hunger felt by the millions who go to bed hungry. Along with the fasting if it was breaking bread with someone hungry, all Gods in heaven would have been happy. For the person receiving the food, he or she sees God in you and you realise the purpose of God in you who has blessed you with abundance.
Instead of only blabbering a grace before a meal, reach the grace to the underprivileged not just your food, but your talents, your time to educate. As no God wants your prayers uplifted to him, if you cannot uplift someone in life.

Is it culturally enjoy and participate in a festivity that is to express love? The expression of love is not only between two teenagers who could be in love, but an expression to anyone. It could be your family, friends or just an occasion to have fun with a get together.
Even when Adithnath Yogi came to power he had a Romeo Squad that came down heavily on teenagers or young consenting adults going out or meeting in public place? What is the message? Dont just run bulldozers over poor people properties, but also bulldoze starting with the Parliment House, Rashtrpathi Bhavan, which are western colonial constructed structures. Don't just rename colonial names to streets or places, but ensure no trace of anything western exists.
Dont be selective on soft targets like people who are in love or people who want to express love to the near and dear ones and friends. Even the recent atrocities and vandalisation of Christian places of worship and educational institutions? Will that be justified quoting the Bible, where Jesus said, "If someone slaps on the right cheek, offer the left cheek?"
Where are we going as a nation? A nation that propagates hate and violence? A land of the Mahatma Gandhi who preached non violence. A land which prides in Lord Krishna and his love for Radha. Lord Ram who went to extremes to get his wife back that in the pursuit to unite Lord Ram with his wife Sita, Hanuman burnt down Lanka. A nation that was ruled by Ravan who ruled it with evil and hate?
What are we doing, destroying a country of love, peace, unity and harmony? It's Valentine's Day and not Frankenstein Day, where we are making a monster out of communities and religions to hate, kill and vandalise? A nation where rapists are out on bail and people who want to express love are victimized?

Class of 82
It was an emotional occasion where the class of 82 had a memorial religious service for those who passed away. Emotional to realise the blessings of nature, God and destiny that I was blessed with. Blessed to be alive, healthy and with a family. Alive and hoping to make it to my 60th year of life in the next few months.
The religious service was a Catholic mass and most of the deceased were non Catholics. Despite that families of the deceased came for the religious service, confirming that we all will be going to one creator who made us. Living at a time where the country is being torn apart on religious hate, here was a group uniting in prayer
The preacher Fr. Joe Gonsalves who was a 'reacher' of a beautiful message, that we need to be like salt. Salt that preserves and gives taste. Me being me and not yet grown up, grinning on how I use salt to rim my glasses. The beautiful choir led by Shayne and a beautiful rendition of a hymn on the saxaphone by Simon and he reading a gospel scripture. Audifax ringing the bell during the holy moments in the mass ritual. Making me a ring a bell in memory on how I used to wait for the bell to ring when school was over.
One of the organizing team dude, Archan, was the ultimate spirit of life. Though on a wheel chair he was more full of life and refused to be bound to the wheelchair. Making all attempts to stand in respect for holy moments of ritual of the religious service.
The service connected many of the old boys together with friends during the school years. Like I was thrilled to meet Ashlin a day scholar who used to share his lunch with me. Being a boarding student, home food was something we boarders craved for. One of the deceased boy Inderjit Singh sister, Happy, was really true to her name Happy, when many remembered her brother and especially the food they would be pampered at their home. I for sure will visit her for the parathas that many were lucky to have gorged on
There were pictures clicked outside the beautiful majestic Church of Don Bosco and in my heart was a prayer for a long life of all surviving class of 82 and their families. The evening ended with a beautiful session of bonding over tea and lovely snacks. A bonding not just of the boys of 82 but also with their families. One of the families were children, of Tony Quadros who passed away, and they came all the way from Goa. Tony's Dad used to teach us music and when most of the boarders learnt to play many musical instruments, I was kicked out as I could only play the fool.
A big shout to those who were thoughtful and organised this beautiful reunion of memories of those who are not there in our midst today and those alive and all their families. Thank you Glen, the brain and heart of this thought, Archan, Simon, Sanjay, , Rajesh, Audifax for all the effort and palmning. Shayne and all families who were a part of the beautiful choir. Praying and wishing for a loooong life for all of them and they stay alive till all the rest leave this earth and they remember us this same way in prayer. With Simon on the saxaphone and Shaye giving the eulogy, and Glen ensuring he does not bunk like this time where he could not make it. Missed you Glen and thank you for this beautiful throught of remembering the souls of our departed brothers.
Left the evening connecting with friends and families. It was a teleportation back to my teens. Especially with families joining to sing the Don Bosco Anthem, with a line of the lyrics that say Don Bosco be with us, Don Bosco watch over us, Don Bosco forever our model be.
A happy feeling that I too will be remembered when I am gone as those surving will ensure I stay 18 till I die

Income Axe
The budget which is supposed to be looked at with anticipation and joy is now more or fear of the axe of the tax. Fear of how much more will a person income be taxed. Less that 5% of the population pays income tax. On the tax paid money they pay tax on purchases. On the tax paid for example a flat, they pay tax on sale of the flat.
Then is fooling the masses of no income tax upto 12 lakhs income per year. It is only if you earn income of 12 lakhs and below that is tax free. It is not a standard deduction like 75000/- deducted from your income and the rest taxed. So if you earn 13 lakhs, you get a standard deduction of 75000/- and the rest is taxed on the slab levels of income tax.
Even the current budget had no relief to the less than 5% income tax payers, besides a animal like growl from the Finance Minister, when questioned on it?

A growl which was like a hungry animal who has not had her fill? How long will a nation be run on the backs of less than 5% of the population paying tax? Tax which is more than 40% of earnings contributed by income tax payers? This is besides tax earned on everything, including the poor man's staple food of dal?
The focus is on how to keep taxing the tax payer, instead of exploring how to reduce it. Atleast not fool with optics that income upto 12 lakhs is tax free and not a standard deduction. The least the government or any government can work is TCS Tax Collection at source / BTT Banking Transaction Tax /Purchase Tax.
Abolishing Income Tax though possible but presume cannot be done, can not Filing Income Tax be abolished. A govt. who prides to the world with it's UPI platform of payment where even a 1 Rupee payment can be done digitally. Then why not a tax collection system that can be digitally done and the tax burden is spread more across the population and not on less than 5% of the population.
So next budget we dont have a Finance Minister that growls on being questioned what is the relief for income tax payers. The least relief is abolishing the burden of filing Income Tax, which is an income axe. The worst is the income noose where TCS is deducted and you can claim it back or would be Tax Returned post filing your taxes. So if you are axed more than what is your taxable limit, you will be refunded. So file your tax to beg the excess that was axed as tax?
Unfortunately for the Income Tax Payers they are not a vote bank, they are minority whose voice will not make a difference. They will be squeezed as a note bank to keep the economy going.

If Osama Bin Laden was the worst Terrorist in the world, then who are Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu? Are they also not more worse than Osama Bin Laden? If allegation is that Venezuelan President was involved in drug smuggling into America, then could not America not protect its borders from this smuggling? Could stringent laws be not made for people involved in the trade inside USA?
Why this desperate need and greed for oil making an alleged number one nation in the world, behaving like a pack of scavenger animals? Can wage war with any nation to squeeze the last drop of oil? Now Trump wants Greenland? It's like a sex starved man walking into a brothel and deciding which prostitute he wants? That's besides the point, Trump is a sex starved maniac. The Epstein Files exposes has exposed it all?
If human rights in Iran is a concern, then how come the same concern is not there for North Korea, Bangladesh, Pakistan, India and many other nations ruled by brutal dictators, regime or democracy used as a facade to cover human atrocities and capitalist interests of few?
Despite the history of wars created by United States for their economy to prosper with arms trade, surprising the world is silent or frightened? How long will the world stay silent of the atrocities of USA and Israel? Palestinian communities called bedouins that lived for centuries in Palestine being uprooted. There was never an Israel. A imagination of a fiction writer Moses whose writings form the earliest writings of the Torah and then juxtaposed with some changes into the Bible and Quran
What is shocking is the silence or the fear of the world against a terrorist, Donald Trump? Nothing but a loser who threatens the world with sanctions, tariffs or war. A terrorist who cares a damn for a world body like United Nations. United Nations was anyways the bed partner of USA. Likewise USA being the bed partner of Israel. USA controlled by the Jews is a no brainer. A control cleverly devised by Intellect and proven as a chosen God's race of humans.
So is the rest of the world not chosen by God? Or is USA and Israel, Devil's chosen race, and US an United States of Assholes?

The...real world
I was fortunate and honored to have had the opportunity to watch a Marathi play for the first time in my life: ‘The...other world’. A play written and directed by Manjul Bhardwaj. My going for the play was in no way was due to the fear of getting slapped that I don't know Marathi or being forced to speak in Marathi.
On the contrary, this was a Marathi play slapping the same ones who want to dictate the importance of Marathi. It was a slap, suggesting that Maharashtra, India, or the world cannot be saved or be superior with the knowledge of a language if nature cannot be saved.
The play had bold messages that building infrastructure like sea links, cutting forests for metro sheds, or any other development is not development but the destruction of livelihoods. It affects the Fisherfolk—the original inhabitants of Bombay—with the lowering catch of fish, Adivasi communities that live in the forest, and farmers whose land is taken for development.
The question was: what development would it be if the air gets polluted, water gets polluted, and farm products lose their nutritional value with pesticides? Then, utilities, infrastructure projects, and farmland are gifted to a few rich industrialists—the immoral, inhuman, and evil industrialists who want to control farm produce and make a business out of food that cannot be afforded by the poorest in society. They forcefully buy up farmland and kill farmer employment with technology farming.
Finally, it was a no-brainer message that all this has been, is, and will be the reason for the avalanches, floods, and other natural catastrophes that are wiping out homes, villages, and lives. It is a no-brainer that pride in a culture, language, and religion has saved no one. On the contrary, it is dividing the country. No God from a temple, mosque, or church is going to come and save us if we don't save nature now. Protect nature and nature will protect us, as no armies, ammunition, or atomic weapons will save the world. It is only nature that provides, nurtures life, and saves humanity.
The play had a lovely message, which is: Ecology and Humanology.
A play which every Indian must watch. This is done by a group that uses no fancy props, music or will ever get sponsors. They are ready to perform anywhere they called. A team of dedicated stage artistes that want to create awareness of a world being destroyed. Salute Manjul Bhardwaj for this brave writing and beautiful direction

Junglee Book (Part 5)
These wild dogs were then invaded by another outside force: mainly a white species of wolves. These white wolves came in with class and skin superiority. They came veiled with fake intentions of trade; wolves in sheep’s clothing. They realized the jungle could be easily captured with a divisive approach. The earlier dogs who had invaded had generations who were then pitted against the meek, peaceful generation of animals who had inhabited the land for thousands of years. But these meek animals had a classification of animals within the same breed: some labeled superior, some as warriors, some as traders, and the lowest class as scavengers who had to do filthy menial jobs and were kept away from their own flock and underprivileged.
The invading wolves enjoyed power and ruled over the jungle, playing on the divisive beliefs and practices of the jungle and using the power of superior tools. The white wolves ruled, ruined, and looted the jungle until one day a zebra pulled off its stripes and walked across the jungle semi-naked, ending up driving the white wolves out of the country without violence. In reality, there were others who fought for the freedom of the jungle, but they never got the recognition of the half-naked zebra.
Finally, an independent jungle had its tryst with destiny, actually taking the jungle down the charts on the face of the earth, and this is how it evolved:
It was one breed species of animal that ruled over six decades. All other aspiring animals who wanted to make a change were crushed. This species of animal was the scum of the earth, with the only advantage being the jungle population not knowing it as long as their basic survival with scraps was provided. So there was no competition, and everyone kept this species of animals in power.
Then came another species that reduced every species to the scum of the earth, ensuring even the scraps that were earlier available to the other animals were deprived. This species is planning now that there will be no other animal species that will rule. The justice system became jungle rule; might is right, and they keep the jungle in fright.
In the jungle this mighty jungle, everyone has to keep quiet every day and night, or be ensured they sleep forever.
